I founded this studio with a simple belief: buying flowers should be a personal experience, not just a transaction.
At The Flower Shed, we specialise in creating beautiful floral designs for everyday moments, weddings, funerals, and events. Whether you are celebrating a joyous occasion or honouring a loved one, we are here to help you reflect and convey your emotions through the language of flowers.
Not Just Another "Click-to-Buy" Site
You might notice there is no "Add to Cart" button on this website. That is intentional. In a world of mass-produced, drop-shipped bouquets, I wanted to bring the human connection back to floristry. We pride ourselves on providing a product that is personal to you and your specific needs.
When you order from me, you aren't talking to a call centre in London. You are talking to the person who will actually select your flowers, condition them, arrange them, and often deliver them to your door.
I live and work here; I know the team at Westerleigh Crematorium by name, and I know the back roads to Old Down Estate.
Always Sustainable
Ensuring that your flowers are as sustainable as possible is one of our top priorities. My philosophy is "Seasonal First." We always aim to use seasonal blooms which are locally or British-grown, celebrating the natural twists and turns of stems rather than forcing them into rigid shapes.
When designing and creating our pieces, we endeavour to be plastic and foam-free, specialising in biodegradable funeral tributes and eco-friendly wedding designs, to minimise our impact on the environment. Please ask us if you have any questions about our eco-conscious approach.
Sharing Our Passion and Knowledge
With a background in teaching and learning, we love to share our passion for creating beautiful floral designs with others. We run seasonal and bespoke workshops designed to help people lean into their own creativity. It is amazing what we can support and inspire you to create, leaving you with a sense of pride and something beautiful to take away.
(Please Note: We are an independent studio based in Westerleigh village, distinct from 'The Flower Shed' in Thornbury. We are proud to serve our specific local community in Westerleigh, Yate, Thornbury and the surrounding areas.)
