Weddings at Old Down Estate: A Florist’s Perspective
As a local Westerleigh florist, Old Down Estate is one of our absolute favourite places to work. It offers two completely different vibes in one location: the grandeur of the Manor House and the rustic charm of the Barn. We love designing for both.
The Manor House
Styling Tip: We recommend tall, glass-vase table centres to draw the eye up towards those incredible chandeliers without blocking your view of the Severn Estuary.
The Staircase: This is the "money shot." We can dress the bannisters with cascading greenery and white blooms to create a fragrant entrance for the bride.
The Barn & Walled Garden: Rustic & Wild, this space is perfect for The Flower Shed’s signature style. The exposed brick and timber beams are the perfect backdrop for "just-picked" meadow flowers.
The Folly: If you are having an outdoor ceremony in the Walled Garden, we can dress the Folly archway with soft ruscus and seasonal roses to frame your vows.
Hanging Installations: The Barn’s high ceilings are begging for flower clouds or foliage hoops to lower the visual height and make the space feel intimate.
